Soaring Scholars

Soaring Scholars’ mission is to love, equip and empower students for overall successful futures. Helping students discover their internal and external assets empowers them to be well-rounded citizens within their school and community, all while learning to exemplify the values of Jesus Christ.

Through lessons, demonstrations and testimonies of life experiences from mentors, community leaders and Potter’s Wheel staff, students get a chance to gain hands-on experience that broadens their own life experiences. Through educational experiences ranging from entrepreneurship, agriculture, science, neighborhood revitalization efforts and more, students will confidently know and demonstrate who they are and what they are striving to achieve in life.

Soaring Scholars provides for time and space for 6th-12th grade students from Glenwood Leadership Academy and Bosse High School to connect with their peers in a small group setting, build strong relationships with trusted adults, and receive individualized supports that will teach accountability, integrity and responsibility. During this time, the students are mentored in personalized academic plans and social emotional skills through equitable education and holistic development from a foundation of Jesus’ biblical teachings.
